Lovely jungle location, not in a busy location. Incredibly peaceful. The pool was fantastic and a wonderful distraction for the kids from the jungle humidity, we all spent hours in it. The breakfast was unbelievable, my son has declared the Dhal is the best in Sri Lanka, I am included to agree. The staff went above and beyond and made us feel incredibly welcome. Would definitely come back to that resort

The Lily Resort is an awesome place to stay while enjoying an elephant safari in Udawlawe National Park. And reasonably priced for what you receive. A great value. It's a small hotel with big, clean, well appointed rooms. It's located a few kilometers out of town and is very quiet. You can take a tuktuk into town. It's a bit tricky to find (Google maps wants you to take a turn that no longer exists if coming from the north and signs for the resort are pretty small wooden things). The staff at the resort (Shashi and Gayan) were excellent. Super responsive to any of our needs. We got our laundry done for 500 ruppees each (have them ironed). The owner was really helpful in booking an excellent safari. It's a bit spendy through them but our guide spent almost 6 hours with us, the resort provided food and we had a great time. Note that one safari is enough - you get bounced around a lot! Our room was spacious and clean with two queen and one single bed. The beds were firm but comfortable. The AC worked great, as did the instant on hot water heater. The towels were also really nice. The pool was great at the end of a long day on safari! It's a chlorine pool so watch your eyes. The food was generally excellent. The included breakfast was way to big for any normal appetite. Try the Sri Lankan breakfast for a real treat. And don't hesitate to ask Shashi for anything like more fruit, tea or any other food item. Overall this was a great place to stay while visiting Udawlawe.

The resort is a bit isolated and if you need supplies you'll need a tuktuk.

Wspaniałe miejsce, które uratowało naszą jedną noc przed safari. Niestety byliśmy zmuszeni znaleźć nowy nocleg w ostatniej chwili i Lili Resort przyjął nas po godzinach zameldowania. Okazało się, ze to wspaniale miejsce, którego nie udało mi się wcześniej znaleźć. Super pokoje, basen, przemiła obsługa młodych ludzi. Dobre i duże śniadanie, zorganizowane po safari. Byli również przygotowani na braki prądu-w każdym pokoju znajdowała się specjalna naładowana lampa. Lokalizacja niedaleko parku, także świetna baza wypadowa na safari… Byliśmy tam z maluchami 6 miesięcy, 2 lata, 3 lata i 4 :) cudowne miejsce dla rodziny :)

Wszystko byłoby super, gdyby nie to, ze na koniec właścicielka chciała na nas przerzucić koszty opłat za booking. Niby stosunkowo mała kwota, ale jednak niesmak pozostał..

Very overpriced food

Shehan and Shashi were amazing, the service and the food was excellent. They were so accommodating to all our needs and dietary requirements. They recommended a place for dinner and organised a tuk tuk driver, they exceeded our expectations and more. I would highly recommend staying at the Lily resort

A fridge in the room to keep water cold, but everything else was perfect. The beds are comfy and the whole property is very clean

There are 2 family rooms and 1 double room - we had the family room which has 2 double beds. Very comfortable! The area has lots of wildlife and the pool is great fun to play in.

The family room we stayed in is situated close to the reception area, therefore you can hear voices from staff - at times loud when they are talking to each other from across the property. It didn’t bother us much but if you like your sleep it may bother you early in the morning.

Sehr gepflegtes kleines Resort mit Pool. Als wir ankamen, lagen schon Handtücher am Pool für uns bereit. Das Personal war stets aufmerksam und hilfsbereit und hat uns eine unvergessliche Safari organisiert. Ruhige Lage, da nicht unmittelbar an der Straße gelegen.
