Nirbana Retreat

Een fantastische en mooie plek midden in de natuur. Bij binnenkomst voel je meteen de rust. De kamer was stijlvol ingericht en heel erg netjes. Het ontbijt was afwisselend en wordt iedere ochtend vers bereid. Het personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam en staat altijd voor je klaar. Ondanks dat we vroeg in de ochtend moesten uitchecken was er voor ons een ontbijtpakketje klaargemaakt voor onderweg. Ik kan dit verblijf aan iedereen aanraden!!!

Een koelkast op de kamer zou het verblijf helemaal af maken.

The property is beautiful and serene. The staff are very warm, welcoming and keen to make your stay a nice one. They were excellent, really. The rooms are nicely styled. The breakfast is nice. If you intend to lounge around for most of the time, this place is great.

If you want to go to the beach everyday, this property is just a bit too far away. The tuktuks won't come to you via PickMe/Uber, so you need to use the tuktuk drivers on site at 1000lkr just to get to the beach one way. If you have your own bike/scooter, it would be much better. Nb: like many places, the property attempted the 3% surcharge for credit payment which is prohibited by Sri Lanka's Central Bank. As soon as I raised it, they very politely removed it.

Sneha & Rashi sind die Manager und haben sich super um uns gekümmert. Wenn wir etwas brauchten oder Fragen hatten waren sie stets für uns da. Man hat sich gefühlt, als würde man mit Freunden sprechen. Alle anderen Mitarbeiter waren ebenfalls sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Pool sowie die äußerst ästhetische Einrichtung der gesamten Unterkunft sind ebenfalls hervorzuheben. Ebenso das Essen!

Die Ästhetik steht hier über der Logik. Wir hatten das Zimmer an der Seite (offenes Badezimmer), in dem man sich wie Mitten im Jungle fühlte. An sich ja ein mega cooler Vibe, aber Ameisen & andere Insekten (Mosquitos, Kakerlaken, ...) waren hier leider an der Tagesordnung, so auch im Schlafzimmer. Die Türen waren nicht dicht und da keinerlei Mosquitonetze vorhanden sind konnte man sich auch nicht entsprechend schützen. Für diesen Preis wäre außerdem ein Minikühlschrank im Zimmer und ein fester Föhn angebracht.
