We hebben deze kamer geboekt voor de eerste nacht van onze reis door Sri Lanka. Het hotel ligt op ongeveer een half uur van het vliegveld. De kamer was ruim en schoon en vanaf het balkon had je een mooi uitzicht op zee. De wifi in de kamer was uitstekend doordat elke kamer een eigen router heeft. Iets wat meer hotels in mijn beleving zouden kunnen doen.

Wij hadden het hotel mede geboekt, omdat er een groot zwembad op het dak was. Toen wij aankwamen bleek deze echter gesloten voor werkzaamheden, zonder dat dit van tevoren gecommuniceerd was. Dit was een tegenvaller, anders hadden wij het hotel namelijk niet geboekt. Verder werd ons bij aankomst om de bevestiging van Booking.com gevraagd. Ik ga er bij hotels toch vanuit dat er gewoon een systeem is waar de boeking al in staat, waarbij je alleen mijn naam nog nodig hebt.

When I arrived I was a little apprehensive given the external appearance and the general condition of the carpets and lift but once I entered my junior suite then I was delighted. Everything was brand new, lounge, dinning, kitchen and bedroom in mint condition. No utensils or crockery despite having a stove top . The dinning room was really nice and all the food delicious. Every staff member was delightful. One has to measure against the price paid and the third world standard and I would give the hotel a huge tick. ….. especially the dinning.

Bed has only thin sheet, no blanket and the mattress has no protective cover. I requested the blanket but never came. Service is very poor. The bathroom when I arrived still have some hair from other guess. The shower room is dirty.

On the positive side, the bed was comfortable, breakfast was reasonable, and while some staff were helpful, others were less so.

We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment and, unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel. The apartment had an unpleasant smell, as though it hadn’t been cleaned or used for a long time. Although there was a kitchen, there were no utensils or equipment to cook or clean with – just two coffee cups and no teaspoons. The bedding also smelt odd. The Wi-Fi didn’t work during our stay, and there was a lot of building work going on around the property. The pool and gym looked nothing like the photos online; it feels like the pictures were staged for a shoot and don’t reflect the reality. Overall, considering the price, I don’t think it offers good value for money.

Gave this place one star. The room wasn’t clean, and they didn’t provide towels—we had to ask twice. Poor service overall. Wouldn’t recommend.
