"The best hosts we’ve ever had!"

We appreciated that this location was conveniently located outside of the Matera historical center with easy (free) street parking. The beds were comfortable, the service was excellent, and the cats were a sweet surprise! While the host owners (sisters) didn’t speak fluent English (I certainly don’t speak fluent Italian!) we used our Google translate app every morning over coffee to find out about them, their family, good tour guides, restaurants, suggestions for places in and around Lecce to travel on to, and they even suggested and booked for us, hair appointments! They are friendly, engaging, and such a wonderful gift to our adventures through Italy!

Bellissima villa, panorama incantevole a pochi metri dai Sassi. Personale accogliente e gentile. Stanza grande e ben organizzata, molto pulita. Bellissimo giardino da godersi a primavera/estate.

"Ruhige Unterkunft abseits der Touristenströme"

Man muss nicht in den Sassi übernachten, um Matera intensiv zu erleben. Von dieser Unterkunft aus geht man etwas eine halbe Stunde zu Fuß in die Altstadt, kann aber dafür abseits von vielen Touristen "Luft holen". Das unmittelbar an der Gravina-Schlucht gelegene historische Gebäude hat schöne, moderne und saubere Zimmer; der Service von zwei sehr hilfsbereiten Gastgeberinnen ist tadellos.

Frühstücken im Garten mit Blick auf die Gravina-Schlucht wäre schön, ist aber wohl nicht vorgesehen (Aufpreis, wenig Schatten).

"Uitstekende Bed & Breakfast en ideaal als je met een auto op doorreis bent."

Heerlijke bed&breakfast, mooie kamers, goed bed, lekker ontbijt en hele gastvrije ontvangst. Ook fijn dat je min of meer voor de deur gratis kunt parkeren. Op redelijke loopafstand van het oude centrum van Matera. Je zit zo op de toeristische wandelroute. Achter de B&B zelf een bijzonder uitzicht op een “grand canyon”.
