"The place nice, but late check-in difficult"

The location is nice, 15 minutes on foot from the major Cathedral, the room was clean and comfortable

I had some problems with getting into the room when I arrived: as I arrived late (at 00:00 almost), I informed the owner about late arrival asked how I will get into the room. He said that I can call on whatsapp anytime, and he will open the front door. However, this did not happen. I was lucky that someone went out of the building, opened the door, so that I could get in. Then, there was more misunderstanding, because I do not speak Italian, and the owner does not speak English.
