Bologna Homestay B&B

My mom and I ended up in the green room, which turned out to be a very spacious and beautiful room. The room was very clean and tidy (you can tell it’s well-maintained), the beds were extremely comfortable, and we also had a sofa that was perfect for reading books before bed or browsing through photos from our trips. Nello and Maria are fantastic hosts, and I can wholeheartedly recommend this place.

Lovely owners, who helps with everything and keep in touch with you. Everything was cleaned every day, kitchen available, near to city center and central station on walking distance.

In "blue room" you can hear everything from the bathroom.

The hospitality and the availability of the owners really exceeded my expectations! They went out of their way to accomodate us and help us with suggestions of places to visit in Bologna. Apartment is very clean and affordable, near the historic center, we never used a car or public transportation. If we ever return, I would be more than happy to stay here again!

It was not far from city center, not difficult to find. The Appartment was clean. Host, comunication was ok.

Well, my husband made reservation and he did not see that there is a shared bathroom. When I saw that, I asked for free cancelation. It was at least one month before coming and they did not aprove it. In my opinion it is not ok, I would understand if that were last days, few days before coming. I am also in renting in Croatia and we aprove free cancelation to our guests. Of course not one day before coming. (Sometimes I have done that too.). Their police but I do not like it. If you have big laguages, you are in problem because you have to go first in Appartment on third floor by stairs and then back with lift to pick up them. It would be ok if it was a shared flat but not bathroom. Breakfast had good and bad things. I think that mostly people do not take it, not tobomp to others. Mostly they take tea or coffe. I could say that drinks : coffe and juice were ok or great but you do not have mostly nothing to eat..They will say you have integral tost- I do not like it. Some croasans could make difference or fresh bread. So, what I wanted to say, it is not a bed place but I would not go there again.

Location is great, it's almost straight direction to city center that you can reach in 30 mins by foot. There is also bus station right in front of the building. We haven't used it :) But there is option.

Our stay at Bologna Homestay was great! The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The location 20 minutes walk from Bologna Central Station is very convenient, especially if you plan on visiting other Italian cities such as Florence or Ravenna. Also, the breakfast included in the price is another big advantage, we didn't have to worry about what to buy. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay there while visiting Bologna.

Very clean and modern. Overall a good experience with some negatives I explained below.

A lot of noise in the morning when the others were using the bathroom/shower, as our rooms was next to the bathroom. The "breakfast" was also shared which is a big no no. Other people were taking all brioches. If you wake up late you risk to not have a breakfast. Check in process is annoyingly complicated. The owner wants to communicate via email, which I found to be unnecessary. A booking message or whatsapp would have been a lot more straightforward.
