Casa di Palaia

Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig und sauber, das Bad plus Dusche wirkt absolut neu. Die Lage ist ein Traum, es ist immer ruhig und die Aussicht ist ein Traum. Der Garten plus Pool, die Liegen samt den weichen Pölstern laden zum Entspannen ein. Die Besitzer*innen sind super nett und entgegenkommen, sprechen aber zu 99% italienisch, trotzdem hat die Kommunikation zu 100% funktioniert.

Die Zimmer waren hell, richtig abdunkeln konnte man nicht.

The room was clean. Breakfast was ok

The host only speaks Italian and won't even try to speak to you if you don't (either she doesn't like foreigners or she doesn't like having guests, not sure). AC was vastly insufficient in the room (and the host would turn it off the moment you leave the room), we struggled to have lower than 29°C in the bedroom, the bathroom doesn not have AC and was easily 35°C, same for the breakfast room and the restaurant. The bathroom was poorly designed (towels far from the shower, hot water coming after a loooong wait etc.). The room was barely furnished and the "lake" was an artificial pond that is an eye sore. None of it would matter too much if the price reflected it. But the price is similar to a 4* hotel and one the most expensive in the area....

Fomos muito bem recepcionados. A dona da casa é muito gentil!

Landschaftlich sehr reizvoll (Highlight), sehr ruhig, nah an der Natur, es wäre gut gewesen, wenn unser italienisch besser gewesen wäre, Kommunikation hat aber trotzdem funktioniert, Cappuccino wirklich gut!, ein paar Mücken lassen sich nicht vermeiden, sehr sauber, hat uns sehr gut gefallen, kleiner Betrieb, sehr herzliche Gastgeber

This was a beautiful discovery for us and amazing hosts! Too bad we only stayed 2 nights because we really loved the area, really not far from Florence and the owner’s wine and olive oil was really unbelievably great! We will try to come back with friends soon…
