Riviera Suites

Location is great for cruise terminal. We had no idea how to check in. Fortunate we followed someone into the building and the cleaning staff answered door. We arrived early so happy we could leave luggage in room while we walked around The room was generally clean but there were several small ants on the desk.

The beds are the most comfortable!! Clean rooms Great location.

Unresponsive Property Owner After traveling 18 hours from Boston to Civitavecchia (Rome port town), we arrived at 8pm to discover there was NO WATER in sink, shower, or toilet. I texted the property owner and he said he’d look into it. We returned from dinner at 10pm and found nothing had been done. When I texted the property owner again he said there was nothing he could do. He also agreed that he’d process a full refund which he has yet to do.

Excellent for an overnight stay before you cruise.

Check in process was horrible. There was no communication with any site personnel. There was supposed to be a reception desk but there is no reception desk. The front of the building is locked and in need of a code. We were not provided that. We snuck inside after someone else left the building and found that Riviera Suites was on the second floor. That door was locked. The gelato owner next door phoned the owner on our behalf and we were able to provide the correct codes for both doors. Once inside the second floor were 3 rooms but no reception. We were never provided codes. The free “breakfast” was in a small cafe a few blocks away and only included a cup of coffee and a pastry. There was no tissue paper, no Wi-Fi password and no coffee cups or enough coffee k cups for the Nespresso machine inside the room.

El lugar es muy bonito y limpio, con buena ubicación. Ofrecen desayuno La comunicación debe mejorar. En nuestro caso no recibimos información para poder entrar y a raíz de eso tuvimos una mala experiencia de llegada al lugar.

Very friendly and clean

Don’t let the exterior fool you. The rooms are newly renovated, clean and comfortable. The owner met me at 10:00 am for an early check in. Definitely recommend!

Such a perfect spot to explore the center of town and to stay before and after a cruise from Civitavecchia!
