USUSWe loved the rocking chairs on the cabin's front porch just feet from the lake. A highlight for our family was renting a golfcart and driving around at night exploring and seeing the lights around the campground. It led to many laughs and conversations. Our goal was also to see how many of the wildlife we could count along the way- we came across 1 opossum in the middle of the road, 3 deer just feet away from us, and a rabbit. You may also want to know that some really nice restaurants are all within 15-20 minute drive....Guacamole's has really good authentic Mexican food and is one of our family's favorite when visiting the area.
The Presidential Cabin was great, however, there were a few simple, cheap things from a maintenance perspective that could be improved being that the cabins were older.

USUSThe location was really nice. We were able to make a quick trip to D.C. for a day.
I was expecting a more camp outdoors vibe. With hiking and fishing. Those things really were not available and the attractions for the kids were a bit exaggerated. The alcohol induced gulf cart parade done up as floats into the wee hours was a bit much.

What I didn't like had nothing to do with the facility, it was with a neighbor directly behind me, who we discovered on move out day to be sitting in chairs right behind our cabin which was our bedroom area, I suspected someone was hanging out there our first night, but dismissed it to cabin noises, but what I saw on moving out, confirmed it for me, they had done that before. I then became annoyed that is invasion of privacy to be sitting right near somebody cabin bedroom on backside of the unit.
