Orion City Hotel

The position for the cricket ground is excellent. We were welcomed warmly. The chamber maid team are superb. The bar man Saman is jolly and in the restaurant Laliph Walagedra is lovely. The chefs did a good job with my lactose intolerance. The evening menu was tasty.

The restaurant team needs training fully by the Management and owners and the breakfast choice needs an overhaul. The noise from the constant traffic on this busy crossroads, could be overcome by putting in triple glazing.

Very good location if you like cricket

I stupidlyleft a small bag of washing including a T-shirt I really liked. Called an hour later and was told it definitely wasn’t there. I know it was. Couldn’t be bothered to get a taxi back across town. Hope it’s new owner enjoys it

Luksus

It is a good property at the 19th floor, out of downtown. The restaurant food was good. But the communucation with staffs was difficult in English. One staff was sort rude and lacks 4 star hotel standards. Orders were misunderstood. Took quite a time to bring the ordered food. Over all the hotel was very good.

Clean rooms, very large

Quite far from city centre and across a very busy road

The rooms are very nice, they are clean and spacious. The location is also nice, close by from all tourist destinations. It’s also located near a Barista and grocery store so that’s good, it’s a decent property to stay at, value for money!

The only thing that we disliked is the fact that it’s situated in an office type building so it feels slightly less safe since anyone can enter.
