Hotel Aural

This was a huge apartment (2 bedrooms) with 1 shared bathroom. Basic furniture and out-of-date generally but perfectly adequate for a 1 night stay. The hotel is on a busy road so traffic is very loud from around 6am. It is close to the centre of the town (5 minute walk) so we enjoyed the location although we would not have wanted to spend more than 1 night at this place. Breakfast was poor but included in what was a very cheap overnight rate for 3 people.

Un-homely and out-of-date furnishings so it is not somewhere to be based for more than 1 night - it worked for us as we needed just a 1 night stay.

The place is as clean as could be. Simple room which suited me. Windows faced inner courtyard that is roofed in so noise is minimized. Breakfast doesn’t change but is adequate and service with that is good. Lunch and dinners offered but I didn’t partake. No English while I was there but some staff accommodated me with App translators which got the job done. Bed was very comfortable. It was my second visit to Cajamarca in past year and I can say with some history that there are only a few places in the center of this great city that surpass this hotel in cleanliness and service.

On a Thursday evening Noise from a business nearby filtered into the building and didn’t stop till nearly midnight. My other 3 nights were nearly silent. Bathrooms Are not very large, and cheaper rooms are 3 flights up. So I opted for second floor. No elevator that I’m aware of.

Nos quedamos hospedados en este hotel por 4 días. El hotel tiene una infraestructura reciente, con balcones y pasillos recubiertos de madera de la región Cajamarca, lo cual le da una sensación acogedora y cálida. Asimsmo, el color de las paredes y la pileta ornamental central fueron muy buenas elecciones. El pago de las habitaciones incluía desayuno americano con opción a elegir desayuno buffet. Se encuentra localizado a 3 manzanas de la plaza central de Cajamarca y a una del templo San Sebastián más conocido como La Recoleta. Asimismo, a 2 manzanas del famoso "Cuarto del rescate". Tuvimos una bonita y reparadora estadía con deseos de volver a repetir.

It was clean and had pretty good hot water.

A bit of light enters the rooms and a bit noisy depending were your room is located.

Room size. Quiet. Convenient 10 mins walk to center. Friendly staff. Traditional style of hotel

Breakfast is OK but nothing special.

The place convenience and staff deserve a 10 out of 10. Highly recommendable
