AHG Lion Beach Resort

When we arrived at check-in receptionist, we need to wait longer because of the issue with our room. Because of the waiting time, we have received a complimentary drink. Nice! The room was spacious. The bathroom was small but good enough. The balcony is nice to have with our room. The breakfast was presented in luxuries style. We like the way they do a little more to present the breakfast as a better experience.

We miss slippers. I feel all the time there are sands on the floor. It was a strange experience. Furthermore: there is no hot water during our shower. Yes, I know. Outside is hot, but I like to take a warm shower. It gives me a good sleepy feeling to go to bed.

Stay duration: 4 nights (5 days) 1. Very friendly staff which made it a good experience. 2. Good pool location, and very clean changing rooms too. 3. Large rooms cleaned on a daily. 4. Great location giving the perfect blend of beach and cliff scenery. 5. Kokomo restaurant which is a must see when in Watamu is literally 2 minutes walk from the hotel along the beach.

1. Wi-Fi connection in the rooms was extremely poor. This was really frustrating and we had to depend on local data bundles when browsing or working in the room. The hotel needs to install an additional router close to the rooms to boost the connection. 2. Food, drinks and dessert variety was significantly limited and repetitive on a daily basis which made the meals uninteresting, and for us who had paid all inclusive, it felt like a waste as there were barely and drinks included in the all inclusive package. In fact, in comparison to other all inclusive hotels I have been to along the coast, this was the least value for money we’ve experienced from an all inclusive package. I wouldn’t recommend booking this if you’re looking for a proper all inclusive package experience. 3. Excursions are extremely overpriced and overrated, clearly priced for European tourists as they are all sold in Euros. I recommend checking with local vendors offering the exact same packages and experience at a fifth of the price.

Camera vista mare stupenda, cibo di qualità internazionale e fresco con varietà di opzioni. Abbiamo usufruito del servizio massaggi, entrambe le massaggiatrici sono state bravissime. In generale tutto lo staff è sempre cordiale e sorridente, mai invadente.

È vero che l’acqua della doccia è un po’ salata, ma non crea nessun fastidio. Purtroppo nel mese di giugno la spiaggia dell’hotel non è ancora praticabile a causa delle alghe che si depositano, ma vale per qualsiasi hotel che si affaccia sulla spiaggia. C’era comunque una parte di spiaggia dove fare il bagno, basta camminare per 5 minuti.

He vuelto a este resort después de solo cinco meses, señal de que la primera experiencia me dejó un recuerdo maravilloso. Una vez más, todo ha sido impecable: la cálida bienvenida, el personal sonriente que se acordaba de mí, y ese ambiente relajante que aquí nunca falta. Las instalaciones siguen estando muy bien cuidadas y la cocina... simplemente un sueño. Es raro encontrar un lugar al que realmente tengas ganas de volver, pero para mí, este resort se ha convertido en un pequeño hogar lejos de casa. ¡Hasta pronto, sin duda! 🌴☀️

The location was great if you want wonderful views and easy access to town. It I has very beautiful buildings and landscaping. The staff are very kind. The price is very reasonable.

The beach access is not connected and covered in sea weed. It wasn't a big deal for us because we prefer the pool and views, but it could be a big deal for others.

Superb food and beverage . Acrobatics show was excellent. The room was well arranged and bed customised to mark my spouse's birthday

There was no sweet wine

Friendly staff Nice restaurant , Kokomo , just outside the hotel. Beach access On site tour operator very good. Gedi ruins , Robinson Island and Hells Kitchen trips highly recommended.

Floodlight outside the window lit up the room all night. When highlighted, the solution was to hang a bed sheet over the window. This was low season so no excuse for not moving rooms. Serving real Kenyan coffee at breakfast instead of instant powder would be a step up.

Realmente podía haber sido mucho mejor si hacen las cosas de otra manera. La ubicación es increíble en lo alto del acantilado y las habitaciones y el personal muy bien pero el mayor problema es en el todo incluido y en el restaurante/bar. La diferencia del todo incluido al pensión completa es mínima ya que sólo sirven bebidas, y otro problema es que si no llegas a primera hora de las comidas, se acaba y no reponen. Por último y para mi el peor fallo, es que para ser un hotel de 4 estrellas no puedes guardar las coca colas y cervezas abiertas para otros clientes por favor!!! Te ponen una cerveza abierta para otro cliente y sin gas! Eso no se puede permitir.
