After reading some negative reviews, I wasn’t sure if we should stay more than one night. Points like cleanliness or windows that couldn't be opened (and the resulting lack of fresh air) were quite concerning to me. I even brought my travelsheet just in case... However, these worries turned out to be completely unfounded ! Self-check-in was a breeze. (I’m not sure if every senior would find it intuitive, but there is staff on Site to help). The room is quite tiny, as described on Booking, so you know what you’re getting into. It’s very practically designed and well thought out; somewhere between a luxury capsule and a tiny house, with some storage space for a suitcase or two behind the door. And yes, it was clean: fresh linens with no 'leftover' hairs under the sheet and we never felt a lack of oxygen. Surprisingly, the bed was extremely comfortable; I rarely sleep this well despite my back issues. The window insulates very well, and thanks to the mirroring, people can't really see inside. The location is perfect: just cross the street and you’re right at the promenade, the dunes or the tram/bus station towards The Hague. Also, the breakfast and baked goods from the bakery straight across the street are highly recommended. In the end, we stayed for 3 nights instead of leaving after arrival!

A few things to consider: The bathroom/toilet is separated by a practical sliding door, but it doesn’t lock. If you’re sharing the room, I’d recommend being very comfortable with each other or perhaps taking a short walk while your roommate uses the toilet, as the door is neither soundproof nor odor-proof. It’s also worth mentioning that the area in front of the hotel is a very popular and lively party zone. During our stay, people literally turned night into day. There is a huge strip of restaurants and clubs at the beach, and the action seems to start right at the shops next to the hotel. We had dozens of groups of young adults partying, shouting, and even wrestle on the floor right outside our neihbours window. At that point, I was actually glad the window couldn't be opened, because even as a Neapolitan, I didn't feel 100% safe in that crowd. Two minor gripes: Single-ply toilet paper is definitely '3rd-class deck' style; come on guys! Only God knows what the previous guests did with the remote control, but we had to give it a deep scrub with disinfectant wipes to get it 'crust-free' first.

Geen nederlandsche taal op het aanmeldscherm. Wel werden we daar prima bij geholpen….
