Stone Creek Cottage

We liked absolutely nothing. It was awful, we didn’t even stay 30 minutes just long enough to call and complain.

Starting from the porch it was leaning like it was going to fall.The hot tub was half full of water, and had algae all in it and the breaker was knocked to it.When we went inside the floors were nasty looked as if they had not been swept in months and had bugs all in them and looked like spiders and roaches.Was was afraid to let our 1 year old in the floor because of the spiders and bugs. The toilet was nasty hadn’t been cleaned had stains all over it. The tub was nasty hadn’t been cleaned had huge spiders and hair all in it.The beds we pulled the cover back and they both had bed bugs and spiders looked like brown recluse.When we tried the water it had rust come out of it it was so bad. The refrigerator had yellow stains all over the outside the hole place smelled awful like no one had been in it in months. I called the rental company and they said they couldn’t do anything just for cleanliness but send somebody out. We just left and found us a motel in town. We paid a lot for it and tried to get at least some money back but they refused.My grandbaby started sneezing and coughing there and he has been sick since.

This was one of the worst experiences. Ive taken so many picture. Mold in the bathroom, the floors weren't level throughout the house and you sometimes thought you would go throw. At night it sounded like something was trying to get in under the house near the kitchenandmaster bedroom. Called and they sent someone to fix the freezer. Then called afterwards and said due to the holiday they wouldn't be able to check it out until after our stay. The property said it would have a washer and dryer. I picked it for that reason. It didn't and when i called they informed me expeida listed it wrong and it was their fault. The heater barely worked. And it states that the property is professionally cleaned. We dropped something on the floor in the living room and when i sent my nephew to get it he came up with so much lent/dust that it was crazy. I took pictures of the floor because there was so much that you could capture it in a photo. How if they had just been out was that professionally cleaned. Also, make sure to bring your own trash bags and toliet paper. We were there for a week and they give you one bag and 1 roll and inform you everything else is on you. And i saved the best for last. We never unpack, we just live out of our suite case and thank God for that. When checking everything before leaving, i check all drawers to make sure something wasn't placed in there by my nephew and the nught stand was completely full of rat dropping. I also took a picture of that.

I loved the whole home! It was a perfect place for my little family for a week getaway! Not so big that it’s hard to pick back up but plenty of space to spread out and relax after spending the day walking around! Very clean and homey feeling. Would absolutely stay again!

The door in the living room only had a deadbolt lock. Grateful it had that but I would have felt a little more comfortable if it had a latch or something of the sort also.

The location of the property was fantastic and it sit by itself so we did not have to worry about other people.

It did not have a washer and dryer. When staying at a place for that long it is a pain to not be able to wash clothes.

The bathroom had ants. Then we noticed more in the kitchen. We called 3 times and nothing was done to take care of it.
