Manha Hotel Auckland Airport

I arrived 14th June Sunday approx at 1900pm to entry the foyer where the front desk was not attended. We rang the bell on the desk for service twice, Thinking persons in the office did not hear the bell I decided to knock on the office door. No one came to the door I returned back to the front of the service desk. When I turned around the person who was attending the desk return and began to berate me for knocking on the office door. I tried to explain we thought none couldn't hear the bell ringing, I would try knocking on the door, Service desk attendee continued to berate me and pointing his finger at myself reusing to allow me to explain, then started on derating my family member. There were people eating in the restaurant area who would have heard this conversation, and Im sure cameras would have recorded this also. Ive stay in many hotels and never have I been spoken to like this. I have stayed at this establishment before and never had any disrespect from any staff at this hotel. I will admit, I should have waited and not knocked on office door, but to be treated in this manner is poor discipline and damaging for future business. Ive enjoyed my stay every other time, but this was disappointing, I know people are busy at times and require to leave their work station, this could have all been avoided by leaving a sign on top of the counter stating {back in 10min or soon} etc, which was not in sight at the time when service desk was untended. I did noticed it was under the desk bench top after the fact of this incident. There was no need to forcefully use aggression to deliver this message if we've breached a hotel procedure it wasn't in any way be disrespectful to the hotel polices or rules.

First time there - definitely will be back. Priced well, very clean, comfortable stay with complimentary breakfast...the icing on the cake! Will be back!!

The only thing that we didn't like was the tv - vocalising channel changes and programme details, tried turning off as plenty channels but annoying voice per change.

Needed better description of shuttle arrangements at time of booking. Otherwise good value for money, good breakfast.

Uber to airport would be quicker than bus
