Gorgeous location, wonderful views, peaceful. A lovely continental breakfast with homemade preserves.

Die Unterkunft ist schon außergewöhnlich. Oben auf dem Berg mit einem grandiosen Ausblick von der Terrasse. Am besten waren aber die Gemeinschaftsräume wie Küche, Sitzecke, Kamin und Terrasse. Man kommt mit anderen schnell ins Gespräch, genießt den Ausblick und kann sich aus (für faires Geld) bereitstehenden handmade Nudeln und besonderen Saucen (im Glas, Tomatensauce mit Gin probieren) ein schnelles und bezahlbare Abendessen machen. Wer bei der Anfahrt noch schnell im Ort anhält, kann sich auch im großen Supermarkt am Kreisverkehr gleich für das Abendessen eindecken. Tolle Unterkunft, wir kommen gerne wieder!

The quality of the accommodation, privacy and luxury in the studio. Private decks, full size fridge with lovely home made goodies for us. All the things yiu need, even a pair of scissors! The bathroom is beautiful. Water pressure excellent. Bed so comfy.

Nothing we didnt like - just clarity, We weren't clear wether there were bush walks on the grounds, nome really, yet. We also aren't sure about breakfast as the main website doesn't refer to the studio at all. So we didnt know if we were meant to join the main lodge for breakfast or the items in the fridge for breakfast.

Ran out of hot water

We absolutely loved our short stay at Buffalo Lodge! It really did exceed our expectations. We had very good communication with Abby and Eli before our arrival, and Eli gave us a lovely welcome. Our room was clean and comfortable, with spectacular views. The whole property is beautiful. Kerry put together lovely breakfasts and also gave us some extra info about the area - go visit the Driving Creek Railway, it's wonderful! Our stay at Buffalo Lodge is one of the highlights of our trip to New Zealand, highly recommended.
