Such a peaceful lodge on beautiful grounds dotted with whimsical sculptures. The staff is very welcoming and the food is good, with breakfast to order and continental self-serve. Our room was spacious and bright and included organic juices and treats in the minibar. Wish we had more time to enjoy the gardens.

Don't leave your windows open at night, a variety of (nonbiting) bugs will come in and hang out near the lights. Screens would help.

nice house in a Lovely garden 20 minutes from Rotorua. spécial thanks to the manager and the team. we have spend a very nice time during two nights.

paintings for sale put on the walls of the house are not in line with the dtyle of the place.

Full of art and quirks like a large rabbit sticking out of the hill Alice in Wonderland style! Out of town so quiet and secluded. The dinner we had there was delicious

The room doors banged quite loudly and could use a soft close mechanism

Beautiful location set in lovely grounds. Hotel was clean, staff friendly and room very comfortable. Easy drive into Rotorua. Rest of facilities looked good but didn’t use them.

Breakfast was underwhelming and some what of a disappointment for a ‘boutique’ hotel. Strawberry Jam in a sachet (only jam choice), coffee (wet, warm and tasteless) from a machine - what about a nice freshly brewed coffee pot? Stale pastries, juices were tasteless and certainly not fresh. Cooked food was fine (poached eggs and salmon).
