CHIt was a central location
CLOur family enjoyed the stay so much. The property reminded me of the post graduates residence in the UK, but it's more chic and practical with good wifi and kitchen. As we wished, we stayed more like residents, rather than tourists. The property management team are available through chat and quikly responding when we need assistance. Good for couples (due to size ) and those who want to travel around based in Auckland.
Clean, tidy, central
USWe spent 3 weeks here and the location is right next to Myers Park and a Kindergarten, playground for kids and trail for adventurers. You can watch the rainbow lorikeets hopping in the tree by main window!! Bus stop right out front, but we walked to everything pretty easily. Fully equipped kitchen for cooking, also plenty of restaurants nearby. Plenty of amenities supplied (body, laundry, dishwasher). Supermarket about 10 min walk but convenience shops on most street corners. Secure building. No direct contact with host, but email response was pretty quick. Overall the space is best for a solo or couple travelling for a week or less.
The apartment opens into the bedroom, which also means that ALL surrounding doors outside (entrance, stairwell, other rooms and rubbish room) open and slam shut ALL night long as people come and go! Incredibly difficult to sleep a full night. If you are a light sleeper you might need earplugs. The only furniture in the living space is a futon couch that converts to a bed, very hard to sit on. Again, for a short trip it would be fine. And I think we would have enjoyed it much more had the living room and bedroom area been switched...would have loved waking up to the sound of the birds outside instead of slamming doors.
