City Vibe by Open City Hotel

Perfect location in Tripoli, very clean and great communication with staff. Should have had some sheets and blankets for the pullout bed which were missing, laundry detergent or pods for the washer would have been nice too.

Roof didn’t leak and water didn’t enter property when it rained. The host left a loaf of sliced bread and a package of sliced processed cheese and meat to use our unclean toaster, maybe to disengage our use and him telling us the kitchen didn’t work from the time of our arrival. Thank you for allowing uncontrolled outside natural light entering into the bedroom.

We had a four day stay. Host did not meet and greet as promised upon scheduled and agreed arrival. Host giveth then taketh away from somewhere else. Host was not responsive generally to all help and enquiries relating to the stay. No instructions to access property prior to arrival and at end. Everything seemed like enter at own risk. No clear notes or instructions for use of particular property amenities. We had cold water only on second day because host did not advise what to do once hit water (timer) runs out. Rear slide doors didn’t lock onto external balcony affecting our security with no internal safe provided. Curtains wouldn’t close affecting our privacy and lighting but this is quite fine if you are an exhibitionist and enjoy waking very early at sunrise. Microwave was not provided or missing. Minibar constituted 2 water bottles for a four night stay. Reserved Car park was not provided fully on all days despite prior reservation and host did not respond when another person in building (or a friend) was taking car reserved parking areas and blocking access and egress. I speculate he owns three properties in building and with only 1 car park available he promised this one only car park to more than one paid tenancy. The services from those promised included Games and puzzles. Cooking facilities was not available due to electrical fault so kitchenette was redundant. Kitchen utensils incomplete and inadequate eg only one frying pan provided and no other cooking apparatus. Kitchen cupboards clearly very greasy from several past uses, pod coffee machine drain wasn’t clean, sandwich toaster wasn’t cleaned, hot beverage condiments were dated or minimal/not provided etc. However this is quite fine if you really meant to book a hotel room with no kitchen provided and no intention to make a coffee or cooking a meal.

Good, clear and helpful communication with host. Well-appointed 4th floor city apartment. The apartment had 2 balconies, each with fine views of the town. Good choice of accommodation in a fine Greek town that is well worth a visit,

I thought there was a lack of comfy chairs. Personally, I love the basic, cheap plastic chairs that you used to find all over Greece. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case! However, the lady who was just finishing the cleaning when I arrived, took my request on board and she was kind enough to bring me a chair for the balcony that was a definite improvement.
