Morfes Luxury Suites by Caldera Houses

We had an amazing stay at Morfes Luxury Suites by Caldera Houses! The place itself is beautiful, cozy, and the accommodation was modernized and clean , and in the perfect location to enjoy Santorini, but what really made the experience special was the host, Sotiris. From the moment we arrived he made us feel so welcome, always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. He went above and beyond with recommendations and little details that made our stay so much easier and enjoyable. You can really tell he cares about his guests. Highly recommend staying here thank you Sotiris for the great hospitality! 🙌✨

Amazing view from the private balcony. The spa looked to be probably the most private spa on the island as we didn’t need to share with anyone else and the public walk way didn’t give a full view of it as most of the other spas we noticed.

The apartment is clean and nicely decorated, and the hot tub is definitely the highlight along with a cozy little seating area on the terrace. The location is great if you want to stay close to Fira, and it’s convenient for walking.

First, the apartment is right next to a road, so you constantly hear traffic. It’s also located on the pathway to Imerovigli, which means there’s a lot of foot traffic and not much privacy when you’re on the terrace. There’s also a building blocking part of the view, a shame, given how scenic Santorini is. The walls seem thin as we could clearly hear the guests next door using their jacuzzi after midnight. It vibrated through the wall and made it hard to sleep. The bedsheets smelled damp and sweaty, as though they hadn’t been washed or dried properly, definitely not what you expect from a place at this price point. There was also no milk provided, and the breakfast was disappointing — small, very basic, and nothing like what other places on the island offer. The biggest letdown was the host. He got noticeably salty when we arrived because we had arranged our own taxi instead of booking through him. It felt uncomfortable, like we were being punished for not spending extra. He also pushed hard to sell us an overpriced cruise for €220 per person — we ended up finding the exact same one for €60, which was great. The whole thing felt like a sales pitch, and when we politely declined, the vibe shifted and he became distant and unwelcoming.

What a place! The view! The rooms! The privacy! Excellent location if you’re wanting easy access to Fira town. 👌
