Host Stay Raven House

1) No terrestrial channels on tv.This was not stated on write up on [link removed]2)Door plates loose.causing my daughter to stub here toe causing a lot of pain 3)a leaky shower on third floor causing puddles on second floor bathroom.Once found unable to use said shower .4) Tiles fallen off in kitchen 5)Alarm going of every so often.Very annoying 6)A very abrupt customer service operator who really didn’t want to know and couldn’t wait to hang up on me 7)Right hand side of toaster not working.Not helpful when cooking for 9 for breakfast 8)Pts in cupboard dirty 9)Overall standard of decorating pot.Needs some TLC 10)Gate disintegrated in wind Over all experience very disappointing A leak reported and all we had to tell that someone had attended was Hi Craig, just a quick message to let you know our maintenance technician attended the property today with regards to the concerns about a leak that you raised. Many thanks, Charlie This doesn’t tell us anything can we use the shower? We will be expecting some sort of compensation

Staff were awful the place was but the attitude of the staff was atrocious

The house was warm and inviting with every room clean and tidy...The kitchen was large and the equipment easy to use...as has been mentioned a downstairs toilet would be a huge addition to a very large house full of character...lovely views across the bay...situated at the top of the hill its location is great with access to all amenities...would highly recommend staying here...👌

Could benefit from a downstairs toilet and also a fire in the front room would add an extra cosiness to a lovely house...gas, electric or even better a real fire or a multi fuel stove....👌

Not having a toilet in the ground floor and main bathroom been on top floor

The bed was comfortable

Building noise from next door. Semi detached so very close. Horrendous noise I cried my dream holiday was totally ruined. Started at 7.30am every day. Someone needs to accept responsibility for this and refund some of my fee. Sofa's look good but not comfortable you can't put your head back some stains. Carpets on stairs very stained. Lots of light bulbs in pendants not working. Surface clean of property is ok but floors dirty my white slippers came back black on bottoms. No downstairs toilet was a pain. Cutlery has wobbly handles. Finish in kitchen needs attention for £1500 for 4 nights I expect better. Bins from Victoria Hotel are outside property that was fun at 7am collection not!

Was once beautiful. Not tired…. Dishwasher does not work and has not for Some time. Cookerhood not working (which becomes a huge problem when trying to cook for 12!) Cutlery. Pans. Etc very very old and falling apart - almost impossible to cater for 12!! Bathroom taps connected wrong - which is dangerous with children !! Garden had not been swept (ever!) Basically this place is (was!) lovely but needs to be looked after !!

Spacious comfortable and in a great location with lovely views at the front

Some poor standards of cleanliness There were dirty pans in the kitchen cupboard when we arrived The spray arms and jets in the dishwasher were absolutely filthy blocked and with black grime . They hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. The bathroom door handle, toilet roll holder and sliding bathroom door in the ensuite on the 2nd floor were all in a state of disrepair when we arrived.

Location is perfect, spacious property with plenty of room for us as a family of 12! Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean.

My only complaint would be the floors downstairs weren’t clean. There was bits of food/crumbs and dirt in the kitchen, hallway and living area. Upstairs felt clean. We had two crawling babies with us so it was a shame the floors downstairs were dirty as I didn’t like to put them down on the floor!
