"Beautiful cottage in beautiful country location."

8.0

Cute cottage, very lovely overall. Only a few minor issues, see below

The window blind in the bunk bed room did not close. It was lucky our son was not woken by the light in the mornings. It would have been useful to have instructions on how to lock the door. It was not obvious to us who have been living in anorher country and not familiar with this locking mechanism.

"Our stay in Great Habton"

7.0

Quietness, great pub within 100 yards, great location to explore other areas in North Yorkshire.

The kitchen worktops were all sticky, inside the cupboards were a bit dirty and we had a strong sulphur smell from the kitchen sink, the filter wasn't letting any water down so it was constantly getting clogged up. Looks like they recently decorated the living room as the walls don't match the pictures, it's darker now. The plug socket on the far wall by the window doesn't work so we couldn't operate the one lamp. In the bathroom the toilet was really wobbly and feels like there is a hole under the lino. The shower had no pressure so we struggled to get a decent shower at the right temperature all week. Not enough towels, there were 5 of us but only 4 towels (our booking did say for 5 people). The velux windows could do with a clean as they had loads of cobwebs around them.

"Quiet little break"

10.0

Nice quiet location with a small pub down the road. Neat and cosy little cottage just what we needed ❤️

We couldn't get the log burner to work properly but that was probably user error rather than the fire itself! Floorboards were pretty creaky but that's what you get with an old house

"Home from home. We will be back!"

9.0

* super comfy beds * cosy sofas * great WiFi * well equipped kitchen * jacuzzi bath * easy key collection * peaceful location * smart TV in living room, kitchen and main bedroom. * Alexa in every room * easy to use all appliances * log burner * clean and tidy * amenities about 10 minutes drive away This cottage was a real home from home. We will be back!

* took a while to heat up the cottage * wood left for the log burner was too big to use * floorboards upstairs were creaky

"Lovely little cottage set in the Yorkshire Countryside perfect for a short stay and some quiet time."

9.0

A very nice little cottage perfect for a few days away.

Only thing were the squeaky floor boards upstairs, but it is an old cottage so expected.

Really comfortable, cosy cottage. Hosts provided lots of information on area and facilities. Fire was amazing after a long day sightseeing as was the bath.
