Size & location of property

Needs some TLC, just tired in certain areas but still value for money

The location is excellent, only a few minutes walk into central Whitby, just off a lovely street with cafes, shops and pubs.

Great location. Comfortable beds.

Sink plug not working in 1st floor bathroom.

The location was fantastic, the big beautiful rooms and bathrooms were great.

The cleanliness, the carpets were filthy and hadn't been vacumned. We had 4 kids playing on the floor constantly so would have preferred some clean floors. Beds still had stuff under them from previous guests. We didn't like that there was no dryer to dry the clothes we washed either. The lounge room had terrible lighting we could barely see at night so hunted down lamps from the property and brought them into the lounge room. We asked host and stay reps about parking permits and they said we don't get any (however by chance we ran into the property manager that day and she provided us with permits), they said we could have a cot and extra bed months before when we booked then when we followed up to confirm a week before arriving (which they asked us to do) they said they couldn't accommodate. That left us 2 days before we flew out of australia to work out ourselves. Host and stay didn't appear to speak to the owner and just told us what they thought was true as they ended up asking them and there was indeed a cot available. General assistance from host and stay wasn't great (except from when they were following up payments).

We Overall like the proper quality and location. 5 min walk from sea side. Supermarkets are nearby. Prime location but not congested. Beds were comfortable. Decoration of the house was maintained. Heating was good. Kitchen was well equipped. Huge dining hall.

Problem is that in this house there are lots of stairs. Stairs were narrow and stiff. When we reached, all of the lights of the proper were working except lights on the stairs. Some lights of the property needed to get changed after we reached. Toiletries were very limited. We could not reach host and Stay very easily when needed. We called multiple times to just switch on the lights of the property. Lighting of the dinning hall should be higher.

The layout was great… very spacious & well designed

Only problem was lack of parking. We weren’t given the right parking cards ( only 2 instead of 6 & not fir enough days) 2 more were dropped off next day instead of 4)

Great location. Excellent apartment with good sized bedrooms .
