"The house needs a revamp."

3.0

Clinker Cottage had toiletries and coffee/tea making facilites.

The shower leaked through the ceiling into the living onto a plug socket. Towel put on the floor to catch the water. When we came back after being out the paint was all over the floor. We did not use the shower the second day due to safety. Clinker Cottage was filthy and post left in the building under the coffee table. Loads of cutlery but only two table knives. Too many mugs and they had rings in the cups. Dishwasher tablets and no dishwasher and no washing up liquid. The blind in the living room was broken. Damp patches all over, which understandable with age of the building, but it is getting to the point of spores and unhealthy due to being able to breath spores in. The damp patches are large and not knew patches, which shouold have been repiared before any new visitors. Safety compromised with water leaking into electrics a refund wanted.

"The house that jack built"

1.0

Close to centre

Where do i start!? PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE IF YOU REQUIRE A PARKING SCRATCH CARD OR IF THERE ARE 4 PEOPLE- as we were lied to by staff at host & stay reassuring us a card would be left in cottage, no such card & apparently it didn’t exist , i was told a card would be left. I rang on arrival & no help so my 70 year old parents had to hunt fir a space, then get a taxi to cottage. Tge cottage was grubby full of hairs & mould dust. Does not fit 4 as only 2 seater sofa, and the 3 floors are just stairs from hell with carpets that still have pins poking out so mind your toes when walking up. Total disgrace

"Wouldn't use again."

5.0

Location was good. Also quieter than expected.

The bed was broken and I had to fix it. There is no way that 4 people can for in here as it only has a 2 seater chair. The 2 beds on the top level are squeezed in the tight you have to sleep the opposite way round to avoid banging your head on the roof beams. The room and kitchen are a lot smaller than they look in the pictures. The bathroom is very narrow and the radiator seemed to get extremely hot and was hard to control the temp. This would be very dangerous when young children use the bathroom. It was also hard to use the sink due to the glass shelf right above it.

"Small cottage "

6.0

Really small cottage not really suited to 4 people, only one 2 seater sofa in living room, small bathroom, whole cottage could do with a freshen up, good location & comms from host & stay was really good.
