Lock View House

Clear instructions for lock box with parking right outside. Good location close to the Grand Sluce, River, Marina and the Boston Stump. Walking into town was within 10 minutes. The whole place was very stylish with tasteful decoration and had been freshly painted. Very clean throughout. Bathroom was excellent with added bonus of a separate cloakroom downstairs. Kitchen was reasonably equipped.

Few things would have added to the experience and made this an excellent stay. Tea towels in the kitchen (something that other reviews have mentioned) along with a sharp knife, a bottle opener and a cork screw. Table lamps in the lounge and bedrooms would have made the lighting better instead of having the main light on all the time. The TV is hung on the wall but is not adjustable meaning that not everyone could see the TV. Only 2 breakfast bar stools and a sofa for two (three at a squeeze) for accommodation designed for 4 people

The traffic noise. Not in the realm of the properties control but I’m guessing the age of the property doesn’t allow for double glazing?

Lock view cottage is only a 10 minute walk to St Botolphs and the Market square.. we were only visitng for one night, stopping over for a journey on to the north.. We really liked the central area o Boston around the church and would like to return to see more. the cottage has been decorated to a high standard and furnished with good quality furniture and appliances. It was an attractive and comfortable place to stay.

Would have liked tea towels rather than the large blue paper tissue roll to dry the washing up. Also needed a hand towel in the downstairs toilet.. The bathroom was super looking, but would have liked and appreciated instructions on how to manage the shower flow and temperature.

Could have done with another mirror to get ready and some cleaning products like antibacterial

Good convenient location, property very clean and comfortable. Lovely nice modern decor and all essentials provided, including tea/coffee facilities and nice large fluffy towels. Beds very comfy. TV’s in lounge and both bedrooms. The excellent Lock Cafe was also right next door and well worth a visit for breakfast and lunch.

Lovely quirky cottage full of all the basic items you expect to find and more Three story building very spacious very well kept Couldn’t fault the property if we tried More than happy lodgers for the weekend and will stay again if we are ever in this area

Nicely renovated, comfortable property. Located right next door to the wonderful Lock View Cafe which begins serving breakfast at 8.30. Delicious full breakfast and wonderful Shashuka.
