Naxian Serenity Suites

The decor of the apartment was lovely, very nice terrace / patio to enjoy dinner and the staff was lovely. We had book 4 nights in the suite but decided to come a day earlier and booked a different room type, owners gave us a complimentary upgrade on that night and moved in the suite directly. They were kind enough to bring us some local produce (tomatoes).

Cleaning could be better, specially the jacuzzi didn’t seem cleaned properly. Also the cleaning tended to move things around (our own things and also the thing the room things - to what was considered the standard probably but not ideal for living). The bathroom layout and decor could be improved.

Proximity to beach . Quietness at night

No taxi waiting at the port as was promised. Very shabby and confused arrival . The property was not the one that was shown on the photos. No coffee maker as was stated ( they gave us a saucepan when we requested one ) Disconcerting comings and goings by staff during the night , which was unsettling.

We paid over €500 for 2 nights and it was the most overpriced place I’ve stayed. We did not meet a member of staff the whole time there as there is no on site check in. The bathroom smelt of sewage and it just didn’t feel clean and the interior just looked shabby and not like the pictures of the room I thought we were getting. The bathroom and kitchen area the worst, bedroom ok, although window came off hinges when trying to open. It says air con but actually air con only in bedroom and not in living space

We booked this place thinking that it would be a good stay during our time at Naxos. Far from the truth. Upon arrival, someone who we did not understand and he did not understand us showed up to show us the stay. After staying in the room for about one hour, the AC in the main bedroom that my wife and I and baby would be sleeping in started dripping water. Making puddle in the room, I closed the AC and called tried to get in contact with them. I explained to them the situation and they said they’d send someone out next day. My wife was very clear on the phone we need a refund and we will not stay at an hotel that the AC needs to be fixed we were there for vacation not a maintenance. We did not want to be sleeping without AC, in 85 degree weather, with a baby. The person over the phone seemed to be understanding after asking us to wait one day, we said no, she said she will refund when hotels.com contacts her. We trusted her word. And proceeded to book at a hotel. Just to our surprise, hotels.com explained that the owner did not agree to a refund and said NO. When the issue is coming from YOU, as an owner, you take the responsibility and provide the guest the refund knowing you agreed to that and they never stayed even one night with you. It is not our responsibility to stay with you with a dripping AC.

In a walking distance to Agios Anna (incredible scenery and clear water). The apartment is simple, clean and fresh. It is very comfy after a long day swimming in the sea.

If you want to commute to the city center, you have to rent a car.

The location was excellent, as it was only a quick 5/10-minute walk away from the beach, several restaurants, a car rental (Motonaxos), and some supermarkets. Both Agia Anna Beach and Plaka Beach are easy to reach. The apartment was super for the two of us, and had all the needed utilities (e.g., stove, fridge, drying rack, hairdryer). It was a quiet area with a lot of room for parking as well. Room service (with change of towels) was also very appreciated! Would 100% recommend!
