Arapan Ubud Eco Villa

We liked the staff welcoming us with a welcome drink, the amenities available to us- massage, dinner, just one text away! The outdoor bath was so relaxing, the sounds from the pool and the nature surrounding. We were so amazed when we first arrived and had such a nice stay. I didn’t want to leave!

The pool was mostly for sounds and looks, I tried swimming but it is very slippery and not easy to get into. It is natural so that is to be expected! We stayed in other villas around Bali as well so we got our swimming itch scratched elsewhere.

Everything! The property was amazing! Arapan is the most serene and tranquil environment to be a part of. Pro: Staff- the staff were amazing! Every person who works there was phenomenal. They are friendly, accommodating and try to assist in every way. Breakfast: Of all the places we ate the villa breakfast was 5 star and hands down the best food! The fruit is fresh, the juice was fresh it was a real delight. Natural pool: it’s natural so there is moss and what not however; its clean. There is nothing wrong with enjoying yourself here! Nature: You are in an open area so you have to expect bugs, insects etc. with that, it’s not excessive and for us we loved it. We loved hearing the sounds of all the wildlife there. Cons: Nothing. There was nothing about the villa we disliked. We enjoyed our holiday here and were so lucky to experience the culture of the Balinese people.

1, you have to walk 200 meters in rice field before reaching the villa. would be a lot more conviennent in dry season . 2, second bedroom is not closed up. So you are really exposed to any kind of natural disaster ( wind , mosquitos , small stones flying at you etc ) when I stayed the night was very windy , so many things were flying to the bed at night . couldn’t sleep at all. 3, the staff didn’t ask me anything whatsoever after a desastrous night , he was very persistant about me leaving a good review online , so here we are. 4, a hardworking farmer was working all morning in his rice field with his electronic machine. let’s just say it’s not entirely Mozart

lovely secluded villa you feel very private here. we rented mopeds to get about as it is remote but that’s a cheap add on and they also sort all your laundry needs and food orders with local restaurants. Great seeing so much nature and getting a massage whilst listening to the swimming pond noises. Lovely friendly staff you don’t really need anything else but the peace and quiet!

The villa was well kept and clean, its also very new. The surroundings are close to nature. The staff were very friendly and helpful. One of the staff, Shinta, even went out of her way to escort us to the nearby mini-mart.

Not for people who are scared of insects. We saw hornets, dragonflies, butterflies, and even frogs in the villa. We liked it as we felt that we were close to nature. Another disadvantage is that the villa is inaccessible to cars. However, the staff were very helpful and will come to the roadside to help with our luggage. They will also ensure that the grab drivers are able to locate the place.

We loved watching the butterfly’s in the lush garden and swimming in the natural pool. The location was the perfect retreat from the busy centre of Ubud, but still easy to get transport. I would highly recommend getting a massage in the villa, the therapists were fantastic.
