Het terras met de pool waren prima maar vooral het strandje vlakbij was super! ook het personeel is echt super aardig en doen hun best (zeker Sylvia) om het je naar je zin te maken. Dan is er nog Katerina die goed Engels praat; is die er niet dan spreek je hopelijk zelf wat Grieks want de eigenaar en Sylvia spreken geen Engels.

Het hotel ligt vlak aan de grote, doorgaande weg en wij hadden een kamer aan de achterzijde dus we hoorden het verkeer wel, zij het gedempt door de glazen deuren. Kamers aan de voorkant zullen er veel minder hinder van hebben. Wat erg behelpen was, was het ultra kleine badkamertje waar je met moeite in kon komen om naar de wc te gaan (achter de deur) en je moest douchen in het bad dat 1.20m lang was.

Mr Kanakis, Sylvia and Katarina are very welcoming, helpful and kind hosts. It's a small Boutique hotel. We were there mid May 2026, basically a private beach just for the two of us. There is a natural wave breaker, so the sea is usually very calm and pleasant for swimming. Make sure you book the sea view room, other rooms facing the main road might be noisy. Nevertheless, it's remote, quite, peaceful, away from the hustle and bustle of big cities. You must have a car here.

Some elements of the hotel are outdated and the place can benefit a lot from a renovation to modernise the infrastructure a bit, the bathroom / shower especially. Breakfast is nothing special but not bad either.

We spent 5 nights in this wonderful location. Silvia, Katharina and the team are great hosts, who cared for us whereever possible and made us feel welcome from the first minute. They even prepare meals upon request. Great location on a quiet beach. The private pool is very clean (like everything at Kanakis). Definitely a recommendation, we will come back!

Bardzo sympatyczna i miła obsługa! Byliśmy tu z małym dzieckiem i naprawdę w wielu sytuacjach nam pomogli ☺️ Duży, wygodny i codziennie sprzątany pokój też zasługuje na pochwałę.

En bord de mer, avec transats et parasols à disposition. Belle piscine. Très calme et reposant. Magnifique vue sur la mer. Bonne taverna juste à côté.

C’est vrai que la douche est très petite et une fois la douche prise, la salle de bain est inondée. Un peu vieillot mais charmant. Petite déjeuner pas terrible pour le prix.

Superb location. Easy access by road.Hosts although could'nt speak english could not have been kinder. Katerina the receptionist spoke good english. Place spotlessy clean. Beautiful grounds with flowers and cacti.Easy parking.

Breakfast was basic. Needed fresh bread and better variety of fruit. Room 12 bathroom somewhat small,needed to be careful to make sure that shower curtain didn't block plughole!Toilet cramped! April meant that limited access to tavernas tho' Castaway up the road ok for snacks.Driving in Crete is always a challenge!
