After a long drive I arrived late in the evening. Parking was advertised as available in the street, but the parking spaces were unavailable and I had to carry luggage uphill from a distant side street. The next morning, heavy drilling and construction noise started at 8 AM directly outside the property. The road was being broken open with a drill in front of the entrance. This was not disclosed before booking. The following day, additional renovation works started inside the building itself, directly above my room, including loud drilling and demolition work which left dirt in the hallway (see picture of man carrying half a shower block out of the property) It became impossible to rest either in the morning or afternoon. Only after I complained did the internal works temporarily stop. I specifically choose highly rated accommodations to avoid this type of disturbance during travel. Had these works been disclosed beforehand, I would not have booked this stay. I requested a partial refund due to the undisclosed noise and disruption. Communication about compensation remained vague, and it appeared the property only became willing to discuss reimbursement after my review was posted, which I found inappropriate. I have documentation and proof supporting the events described above.

Nice quiet room , very very kind owners. 100mtrs from busstop to town.
