Great staff, the villa had an amazing garden around the pool

A little closer to the beach would have been nice

All the staff were all very friendly and none of my comments below were due to them.

This place is an absolute train wreck. Where to start? I guess when we checked in and got whacked with a 3% surcharge on top of the agreed amount. No invoice or receipt until i insisted and then got a non descript piece of paper which i had to sign- not them. Things just went downhill from there. We headed for the villa which i noted was tired and in need of renovation. After being showed around i noted there was no room key. When i asked the guy he looked like this was out of the ordinary but agreed to go find one. The place is infested with rats. I spotted them in the garden and their scuttling around on the roof kept us up at night. The aircons struggle to keep the place cool during the day. The mosquitoes are unbearable especially around sunset. Day two: the safe broke locking my valuables inside. This resulted in a comedy of errors before my stuff was eventually retrieved. Then the water was cut off “for repairs” for a few hours. We then ordered in some noodle soup (no food here even no breakfast) but the 4 plates did not include bowls. Or spoons. When i asked for these i was told that that was “not SOP” and highly irregular but eventually they were provided. Finally the shower drain got blocked flooding the bathroom. This was eventually fixed with a suction pump and Drano. I have stayed in many Bali villas and without question had a marvellous time each time. Except this place.

The villa is set in a lush oasis which is set back from the main road, in fact the location and the setting really makes this villa. The location is quite central and close to double six beach but is located in a warren of back streets which makes the villa extremely tranquil and private. The villa itself is big for one of two people with its own private pool.

Unfortunately there are quite a few mosquitoes around but the staff put out coil repellent

Beautiful grounds, lovely pool, very quiet but only 5 minutes walk to main area of shops/ restaurants

Like anywhere else post COvID a tad behind in day to day maintenance here and there

Amazing location in Seminyak with the most beautiful gardens. Feels like Ubud but walking distance to everything in Seminyak. Staff were so friendly.

Bathroom was a little bit old but spotlessly clean

Wonderful stay, the gardens are magnificent it feels like an oasis. Staff were so kind and welcoming. I’ll be back!

I stayed last night on short notice with my husband and was such a nice surprise. Such a tropical retreat in Seminyak, the gardens are spectacular and feels so peaceful in the pool surrounded by nature. Thanks Ibu Wayan and her team for making us so welcome.

Great stay, the team at The Gardens were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. Helped us to get food nearby and organise massages for us. The gardens throughout the property are spectacular, it’s so tranquil even though you are meters from busy Seminyak streets. The bed was particularly comfortable as well and the private pool delightful.
