Hutan Villa by EVDEkimi Ubud

This was my first time staying at a villa in ubud and was looking for something away from the busyness to relax and unwind, I am glad i chose this one. Pool was clean and the backyard was amazing during the day and at night the tranquility & lighting options are superb. The washer and dryer were great and the rooms were spacious with plenty of adjustable lighting inside and outside the villa. All AC units kept the villa cool and comfortable even cold if you wanted. PS5 was a nice addition and the smart TVs with great WiFi made this stay outstanding. Will be staying here again next time I’m in Ubud. Only annotations is on the grab app it’s not updated yet with the name, it’s under dragon villa, aside from that all my grab drivers and Grab Food orders came perfectly to my door.

A great villa ten minutes from the center of Ubud with views of its own jungle. Bike rental, shops and a couple of cafes are nearby. There is a washing machine and dryer, a playstation and a large swimming pool. Ideal for two couples! They offered to clean up every day.

Of the minuses, I will note only a fairly narrow entrance to the villa, it is very difficult for several bikes to fit, but there aren’t complaints about the villa itself, I really liked everything!

We absolutely loved our stay at the villa! It was a perfect place to unwind after intense 2 weeks of travel. The villa is stunning, the interior decor was so cozy. I took photos of every room just as an inspiration for my own house. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom modern with a great shower. The kitchen was fully stock in case if you need it. They provide filtered drinking water. Also, washer and dryer were very convenient and appreciated. My favorite part of the stay was relaxing on the big outdoor couch with a book with the bamboo forest in the background. I also took a relaxing bath outside on a rainy morning surrounded by a lush garden. The location is also good, close to Ubud center and a walking distance to few good restaurants. Bali gym was also close by. Our host Vadim, the villa manager Tia and the whole team was so accommodating and helpful! Thank you guys so much! We also highly recommend renting a scooter from Bali Nice Rental Scooters next door. The scooters were in a really good shape and it was so convenient to go to Ubud center and many waterfalls in the area. We also highly recommend booking a massage at your villa by amazing Toeneyan Spa team. Wow, one of the best massages that I have had in Bali and I had many!

The property was a little hard to find as it is in a back alley.

Not much but beds were comfy

Location - a bit far out from town centre Next door to a building site and farm. Loud cockerels woke us early every morning. Bad fitting windows with huge gaps so even if you keep doors shut bugs will still come in through the gaps including scorpions . Pool was not clean nor bath in garden. The shower base is fish tank gravel with wooden slats to stand on . Very awkward. It probably was a nice villa once but very tired with cracks and mould everywhere with staining on floor which makes it look dirty. We were greeted by two young boys with limited English. Didn’t offer to help with cases. This property is at the bottom of an unlit lane . So to get into a taxi you need to walk in the dark. Felt very uncomfortable here. Ants all over worktops. We did complain and spoke to head of the housekeeping and all he said was “ correct “ when we told him about the issues - didn’t offer any help although they did come back and clean and after we arrived and husbands £150 top got sprayed in the process and bleached it - ruining it . We were husband , wife and daughter travelling as a family.

The stay was short but not forgettable. On arrival we were greeted by the host who was exceptionally warm and welcoming, making us feel immediately welcome. The villa was spacious and had cozy and comfortable furnishings. Although we had seen pictures of the villa beforehand, we found that they did not fully capture the essence and comfort of the villa. In fact the villa exceeded our expectations and our stay there was an absolute pleasure.
