Aurora Cabin

It’s tidy and clean.

The location was magical, situated in the suburbs it's a peaceful and quiet residential area. We went out for a little walk and it was lovely. However if you are looking for proximity to amenities I won't be able to recommend this place. Rather far from shops and centre.

No contact with the host, but it didn't matter because the instructions were clear. I would recommend it for 1-2 nights, not more probably.

The location is good.

The beds are of low quality and the is no washing facility in the cabin. The shared bathrooms are in another building. They are fine but if you need to walk to them in -30 it is not very comfortable.

only negative thing was the service house smells a bit of cigarettes, but everything was still very clean!

A really great place to stay. This is a tiny house that is equipped with the most important things in a beautifully minimalistic manner without a lot of frills. The washrooms are in the main building, about 15 meters away, which is the only negative point. But if you can overlook it, you shouldn't miss it. It is located on the outskirts of Kiruna, which is why it is very quiet, especially at night. I haven't slept so well in a long time.

i coulndt get into the property as the code for the lock box has not been provided. I was trying to contact the host by phone and email, however no reply at all.

It was a late-minute booking from the Kunglseden trip, and only this cabin was available in our budget. We needed to kill the time before our night train to Stockholm, and staying there was beyond our expectations! The cabin (twin room) was pleasantly warm, equipped with a small kitchenette fridge and TV. The toilet and sauna were a few steps outside away - we didn't mind that inconvenience. The sauna was self-running, and cleaning instructions were provided across the whole house. We were lucky as we were able to catch up with the first aurora borealis in the new season, as the beautiful garden was the perfect spot for taking pictures/videos of them! The supermarket Coop was nearby and was convenient for us.

As we both are deaf, we found it pretty inaccessible to get a taxi from the Aurora Cabin to the train station. Luckily, we found another house guest who used to have a Swedish number and pre-booked a taxi for us. I also texted the host, and I am sure he won't mind making a call for us, too.

The hut is very comfortable and cozy. Despite not having some facilities in it, such as a bathroom, it is less than 20 steps from the cabin and was very clean and well equipped.

Everything as expected, I have nothing to complain about.
