Mount View Hotel B&B

Brilliant location. Short walk to St Michael's Mount and short 2 mile bus ride into Penzance. Room was very clean and the breakfasts are incredible. Staff couldn't do enough and were super friendly. Had a great laugh with the locals. The best bit is the price..... Way cheaper than everywhere else so incredible value for money. Mexico Inn is across the road a nd does great food. Also the CuttySark in Marazion.

The staff were attentive without being pushy, breakfast was freshly cooked and plentiful, with choices of cereals and cooked food. Nicely situated for buses into Penzance and out towards St Ives and Truro. I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel bar was a drinkers bar not a friendly bar. Room was small, dreary, dull, and depressing with all walls painted dull battleship grey. Very small metal wardrobe and drawers. It is what I imagine a prison cell would be like. The bathroom door did not lock and with the bathroom and bedroom windows open the door would not stay closed. The hair dryer is affixed to the wall but the cable does not reach the socket. The shower head kept falling off unless it was placed vertically. The shower curtain did not reach the bottom of the shower tray so the shower mat and floor got wet. The car park is very small, only 5 spaces.

Stayed for a night. Room was clean (with shared bathroom) facing main road so for some people it can be disturbing but it was no issue for me. Good location, bus stop only a couple meters away. Easy check-in, very friendly & helpful staff. Can't comment on breakfast as I booked room only but there was option to add it on if i wanted when i checked in (even offered takeaway breakfast option too). I will be happy to book again if in the area in the future again.

Not really a hotel, its a pub with rooms. Landlord wasnt very welcoming. Room 5 was ok overall (clean and comfortable) but noisy overnight due to other guests using shared bathroom next door. Quiet location though and handy for bus into town. Shower needed repair as it leaked everywhere. With a bit of TLC and better attitude it would be a whole lot better.

A modest hostelry with limited facilities but the room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Some nice touches - plenty of coffee, tea, milk, plus biscuits and bottled water. Good value breakfast. Right by bus stop and close to supermarket.

The bed was not clean — I found hair and dust on the sheets, which made me very uncomfortable. This is unacceptable for any hotel.
