I stayed at Connswater Townhouse during a recent trip to Belfast. For £40 per night, the accommodation offers good value if you’re simply looking for a basic place to stay. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and straightforward.

The rooms are quite small which is expected for the price but the walls are very thin, so it’s easy to hear sounds from neighbouring rooms and even from the shared bathroom. The water pressure was also quite low, and the creaky stairs added to the overall noise level in the property. Sharing the toilet with three other guests wasn’t ideal. One area of concern was communication. There’s no direct way to contact the owner except through the doorbell system. On one occasion, my door code didn’t work, and when I reached out via the door ring, the owner seemed a bit curt during the exchange, questioning why I only provided my first name. It may have just been a bad day, but the interaction felt unnecessarily sharp.

House smells of damp. 1hour of heat per day. Same sheet for 5nights. Cupboards locked. Not recommended.

A Very clean establishment, with all the amenities in all rooms. Definitely recommend this for my next place to stay

It is place kept cleaned and in good order. It is tranquil, one has intimacy and the kitchen and living room are freely available to use.

It is a fare distance off Belfast city centre if you want to walk but by bus it does not take long.

My room was overlooking main road which could get quite noisy, but I was there when it was warm and wanted windows open
