GBVery newly built room in the outbuilding of an old house on the outskirts of Kirkwall but within easy walking distance of town. Very helpful friendly host.
A sign at the gate would help find the property although the Google got me there with no problem. The bathroom didn't dry quickly. I think if the extractor fan ran for a little longer after switching off the light, it would help.
GBWe caught the airport shuttle bus to the roundabout at the end of Pickaquoy Road (i.e. just before the town centre) and walked 10 minutes up the hill to Grainbank Mews. The B&B accommodation and breakfast room is attached to, but essentially separate from the main house. Aileen was the perfect host and went out of her way to help us enjoy Kirkwall.
