Excellent location, wholesome breakfasts, and overall a cozy hotel with character

Mattress and pillows are a bit too soft for us but that’s just personal preference.

Breakfast was excellent - lovely selection of fruit salad (strawberries, blueberries and grapes as well as others) as well as full English cooked plus choice of smashed Avocado and poached eggs which my husband enjoyed. Short walk into Torquay where there was plenty of choice of restaurant.

3 flights of stairs to reach the top floor where our room was! Quite exhausting after a long day driving to get there. Didn't realise we should have advised the host if we wanted to be lower down. Also we were a little worried about the car parking as it's first come first served and some of the guests were parked on the road so then it would be a worry because a lot of the road had yellow lines.

Everything the host were excellent the breakfast was lovely big comfy bed, clean tidy room and bathroom facilities were 5star :-)

Perfect hosts who were both so helpful, kind and accommodating. The property was in a perfect spot central to all amenities. Bedrooms were impeccably clean, comfortable and had additional touches that were extra special. Breakfast was superb. A great selection and the hot menu beautifully cooked. Complementary cold drinks and wine in the rooms on arrival, chilling in your personal room fridge. Even fresh milk for hot beverages. We loved everything about it! Would strongly recommend.

Clean and tidy, lovely room, facilities where perfect. And the host was amazing

We had a fantastic stay, the perfect spot for a relaxing break. The room was spotless, well-equipped, and the bed was so comfy we slept like logs. The location couldn’t be better for exploring the area, with plenty to do just a short drive away. Breakfast was a real treat, with a wide variety on offer and a delicious hot option that set us up for the day. The lovely couple who run the place create such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, we felt completely relaxed, like in a four-star hotel, but with the personal touch. We’ll definitely be back, highly recommended!

Gorgeous hotel, lovely touches such as complimentary drinks in your room, attention to detail and sumptuous decor. Breakfast was amazing. Very clean and well maintained. Highly recommend

The only negative is no private parking for hotel guests.
