The only reasons that it didn't get 5 stars is that the exterior needs to be painted (which is slated to happen soon and return the colors to the original colors in 1889) and the fact that they had issues with the entry system such that we had to contact the host (who was awesome) to let us in each time we returned to the house. Guests also need to know that the house features long staircases to get to the rooms due to the high ceilings on the main level.

Old and charismatic house. Lovely place to stay for a more intimate stay in Port Townsend. Absolutely loved the breakfasts each morning, cooked by staff. Not your typical continental breakfast - much better!
