The property was far out of town and not clean . The facility was older and the bathroom was outside the room although it was advertised as having a private bathroom. We left and paid an outrageous cost for a hotel .

Spent the day at Schlitterbahn and didn’t have the energy to drive home to San Antonio so we booked the first available room nearby. Didn’t know what to expect when driving up there but we couldn’t be more happy upon entering the property. This home is luxurious and thoughtfully decorated, we felt like we were on a movie set! the location is somewhat remote and perfect for a little getaway. We will definitely be back!

Everything! Just beautiful. The house itself was so interesting to explore. The pictures, the books, the decor I loved looking through it all! The scenery outside, beautiful. Watching the sunrise in the morning on the porch was a treat!

This review is for the Blue house. This place is awesome and the best deal imaginable for your the money you will pay, but here is a few things not stated you should know: It sits on a beautiful secluded, multi-acre lot all by itself so its super-private! It has a nice sized fenced backyard for pet and covered carport for your car. Stone firepit in the front for a campfire so don't forget your wood. Entry is a gravel road - fine for most cars, but i wouldn't try it with a corvette. The house itself is older with some wear but everything was clean and included all the linen/utensils you need for a trip. ICE-COLD AC!! - Queen bed was large and super comfy memory foam which was good for problematic hips! - Gas stove worked fine but needs a lighter/matches so make sure you bring one incase its missing. - No TV, but who cares. - Its about 5 miles from town/ TXST, but the drive is fun and beautiful! - Its in the woods so there are bugs outside....lots of them (spiders, walking sticks, cicadas). Oddly [and thankfully] no mosquitos or flies! Bring a can of backyard fogger and spray around doors/patio to prevent that awkward encounter and chicken dance when stepping outside. We have a new TXST student and this will be our go-to place whenever we come to visit!

The location was nice.

There was stained sheets, the room was poorly cleaned ie: trash left in waste bin from previous occupy, the floors were dirty and dusty, towels smelt mildew, toilet was horribly dirty.

The walls for the bungalow are thin. Like "we heard you sneeze last night, and based on this morning, you might have IBS" thin. The kitchen is a common space, but there's no microwave, and many of the available applianves have not been cleaned in some time. Great place to sleep and go do stuff. Not great to spend a whole day in.

Was not as advertised. There appeared to be a caretaker of some sort staying there. There were personal belongings in the cupboards that suggest someone living there long-term rather than a guest, like personal effects, recipes ... can't tell you more b/c it felt like snooping (?). If it was a guest, there really wasn't any reason to have non-related people sharing that much space w/out being clear about that in the listing and clear about what you can and can't do in the house. If it was a caretaker, they got wasted, came crashing home at 4 A.M., waking me, and then spent the entire day sleeping (snoring through the house from the downstairs bedroom door, still going strong at 8:00 A.M. in the morning, crashed on the "living room" couch at noon, asleep and snoring w/ the bedroom door open at 5 P.M.) It wasn't clear what were and weren't common areas. There was no check-in or check-out and no one really checking on you. Coffee service upstairs had nothing besides the coffee and a single packet of Stevia, and I wasn't sure if I was allowed to use the kitchen to make breakfast, etc. That area seemed to be for the downstairs person, whomever they were. The property was run down, the restaurant in the listing didn't exist, there was debris all over the property, the restroom was a bit beat up, and I left after the first night, basically paying over $200 for a single night's stay. Asked what they could do to make it right, but no response after 3 weeks and with no action taken, this is my review.
