there's so much to love about staying at the Oliver House! the location is just perfect, the decor is lovely and makes you feel you're transported back in time, the caretaker Calen was extremely friendly, accommodating and most importantly, made me feel safe. I cant thank y'all enough!! the best part was of course Gladys, the sweet rescue who returned the favor and certainly is the queen of the hotel! as far as hauntings go, in the middle of the night (2:30) I had a vivid dream of some pranksters overturning an old-school-styled piano and was shaken awake to see my EMF sensor blinking & reading at the highest level. such a cool experience! but again, most importantly as a solo female traveler, was feeling SAFE to come and go as needed without any weird vibes. also really loved the vibe of 26 Souls- for sure stop by if you're in town! if I visit this quirky artsy area again, I'd book at the Oliver House in a heartbeat!

the only things I didn't like were the communal restrooms, and how thin the walls were. unfortunate luck of the draw for my 2-day stay, as both of my neighbors seemed to have a competition of who could snore the loudest lol ! I listened to white noise in attempt to drown them out, but it's an older building and you can't choose your flatmates so dont count this against them. just be wiser to pack noise-cancelling headphones. sharing a restroom was personally an issue, as it was in use for a long time when I wanted to get the day started! I am a very early riser and honestly felt bad possibly waking up my neighbors by taking a shower early, so I woke up & did my photog thing and came back to get ready for the day, I had to wait over an hour just to take a quick shower. I am accustomed to the luxury of staying at places with an in-unit shower, so this was the only real drawback to possibly staying here again. but again, no fault of the property, it's an old building so you get what you get and that's part of the charm! just plan better than me haha

Every thing was fine

I liked this house because it has the feel of a real old house. Staff was friendly and the breakfast had everything you needed. ..but what about those ghosts.

several informal spaces, friendly hosts, good location no frufru doilies

bed small, room dark, interior bath vanity no space to put anything, parking difficult, no elevator, long gravel path to navigate luggage, difficult to get hot water to fill tub. ran out of water and ice

Wonderful staff , very informative. Oliver house is very clean with very nice facilities. Close to everything, so you can walk Would recommend for a nice getaway.

This is an old boarding house. Walls are very thin. You will hear the guests in adjoining rooms

Private restroom was a little cramped. Wish fresh fruit would have been available. Great view from the upper deck.

We were somewhat desperate to find a place to stay, since my husband really wanted to be in Bisbee for the Prowl. This was the only place available, but we were glad we gave it a shot! I was dubious about having a “shared” bathroom, but it was kept tidy and clean, and we ended up loving the rustic, old-timey feel of it! We were able to walk wherever we needed to go (because parking is a mess there, especially on weekends with events). The wood floors were super cool and my husband enjoyed the bar that was conveniently just downstairs!

The house is in a great location, easily accessible to the main shopping/eating drag. Yes, a few hills but it's good for you and doable! The first and second floor porches offered really nice views of the town and mine. Art throughout fun and engaging. Don't miss the onsite speakeasy when open..super fun! Best of all, owners/operators were fantastic and personable. Beds comfy!
