The Lakeside

Wanted a budget single hotel room for 1 night before an orienteering event the next morning, and found the lakeside. The room was better than I was expecting for a budget hotel, quite small but big enough, nice and clean and with tv and WiFi. I had to arrive much later than originally intended, and later than the official latest check-in, but the manager Brian was on hand to let me in and was very helpful. There was also parking along the roadside opposite the hotel which was free from 6pm Saturday and all Sunday, which meant I didn't need to pay for parking.

As I was on the top floor it took a long time for the hot water for the shower to reach me! But once it had, the shower was very good. So persevere with it!

Very clean. Relaxed and pleasant place to stay.

Nice room close to the town

You could always smell weed. The bathroom door didn't close properly

The building is so run down. Pretty much staying in a bedroom at someones house. Very unclean. There was laundry hanging up all over the house. We booked a room for 2 adults and a baby and the room we got was so small it only fit a twin bed and a bedside table. The door was very thin and you could probably push right through with no effort (unsafe). Host was not there to great us, instead they had a friend helping out that had no idea what they were doing. Left after being shown the room because we felt unsafe staying there. Felt like i needed to shower after being in the building briefly.

Amazing hotel, very clean,a realy high standard of rooms and facilities. Brian the Manager, went above and beyond, to make the stay perfect. I would highly recommend this hotel.
