This room was marketed as de luxe and was expensive - £374 for 2 nights without breakfast. We knew that when we booked but needed to be in Polruan for the last weekend in August so decided to treat ourselves. The room was clean and well presented but is small without space even for a chair. Certainly not deluxe. Basic checks had not been done: The drain in the sink was seriously blocked and the rail for hanging clothes was not securely fastened and at risk of failure. It is their policy not to service rooms, which I do not recall being advised of at time of booking. Milk, tea and coffee were supposed to be available in the lobby near the room but were not. Staff not really interested. We felt exploited. We asked for and were provided with owners email to raise our concerns. We have emailed twice and chased by phone. No response whatever, which says it all.
