Complete disconnect from the rooms upstairs to the bar/restaurant downstairs. It’s like two different places Wasn’t told there would be live music on my second night and couldn’t even get a table for dinner that evening Just disappointing

GBVery cosy room with beautiful decor and a very comfy bed. Lovely views and nice to watch the world go by from the window seat. We really enjoyed the welcome G&T in the room. The pub downstairs was excellent. Really friendly and helpful staff and great food. We loved Polruan and will definitely be back.

Only downside was the room was boiling the towel rail in the bathroom was on 24/7
GBGreat position right on the quay with interesting walks in every direction and a foot passenger ferry across to Fowey every 15 minutes. It seemed like there was just one young woman doing all the work but she coped admirably.
Being a pub there’s almost always someone making a noise outside the window. It wasn’t enough to spoil my overall experience.
GBOur bedroom was right on the harbour slipway! We fell asleep listening to the waves and woke up listening to seagulls, was absolutely perfect! We spent the evening in the pub downstairs, and with a brilliant live singer, and a yummy meal, we were really content! The breakfast in the morning was superb, a full English, and it was lush!

There was quite heavy rain that caused the area coming out of our room to flood however this was not the fault of the staff

I can't review this property because I mistook the location for another Lugger, The Lugger Hotel, Portloe! Oddly, the information contained on the Lugger Inn page opens with "Not to be confused with" or words to that effect. Despite my request to be allowed to stay on another night at the Lugger Inn since I have paid for it, has been ignored. Even though I would book a second night and pay for that. I am glad that they are so successfully occupied that they can turn away extra business plus food and drink sales. Good luck to them !
