Love this place… the view and property were spectacular! Service was friendly. Breakfast was good, loved that the kitchen and its amenities were available continuously. Wish we could have stayed longer for the hikes etc. Next time! One thing … maybe note that the road is rough coming in from Trinidad. Our SUV was fine, but in the dark and or my low roadster, would have been a problem.

The location was great, you are so close to beautiful forest. The staff was really friendly and the breakfast was made with care. For a place this close to trees and forest I certainly expected there to be bugs, but I was prepared for trails of ants clear across the room, ants in the living space, near the bed (even found a couple in the bed) and in the bathroom. There were ant traps in the room so this is clearly a regular issue. We ultimately left a day early because we just weren't comfortable. I would definitely recommend bringing your own disinfectant wipes and house shoes to wear around the room.

It was a great experience staying in this inn. Very friendly staff, great location, very clean and pristine, and the great breakfast omelet. We had a great experience visiting Redwood National Park and staying in Turtle Rocks completes it. My children see wildlife in the back garden of the inn. They saw a deer, blue jays and seelions. It was a great experience for kids.

Rodger and his wife own and live on-site in the beautiful small inn. He is a very kind and first class human being who takes care of his guests without being intrusive. In addition to seeing that all of your on-site needs are met, he guides you to local points of interest, helps get reservations to local restaurants, and helps with any and all issues that you might have. We were there to see the Redwoods and he guided us to some beautiful areas. We also ate at a first class restaurant that he got us into same day. Finally he gave us his own State map to use for our 10 hour drive into southern CA.

Everything met our expectations. You want to stay here to visit northern CA! Thanks for everything Rodger.
