Sunset Star Huts

We loved everything about the property. Close to everything but tucked away for a peaceful stay, many warungs and mini mart steps away. One great warung next door for breakfast. The property has exceptionally maintained gardens and a resort style pool (so beautiful). Multiple sun lounges were always available and the pool gets enough sun to maintain a lovely temperature. The hut is a traditional style and well built with excellent quiet air conditioning, a fan, a fridge and TV with wifi so we had the option to log in to Netflix or other apps if we wanted to. The bed is really comfortable with quality bedding. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the owner, Nyoman, is very proud and has every reason to be. We have stayed at high end resorts and homestays over the years and this place stands out as one of the special places. Exceptional value for money.

Our ratings are 10/10 for everything - we could not fault it. The only consideration for potential guests to consider is the 2 deep steps into the hut ensuite / bathroom and just keeping doors closed to prevent mosquitos; although we did not have an issue.

Great location, within walking distance to Mushroom Beach.

The property does not provide daily towel replacement. The shower water was not very warm and sometimes felt a bit cold. From around 9 PM, the host waits for guests to return before closing the main gate. The outdoor lights are also turned off afterward, making the whole property quite dark at night, so it may not be suitable for guests who return late. There are rooster noises during the daytime, and music from nearby restaurants can occasionally be heard in the evenings and around 6 AM, which may be an issue for light sleepers.

We loved everything about this place! The staff were amazing and put so much effort into everything! You can tell they truelly care about their guests! Incredibly accommodating even when we decided to extend our stay last minute (we simply loved the place too much). The gardens provided a beautiful serenity and privacy as well! We can't wait to return again soon!

I had no hot water for my 4 nights stay! After talking to the manager twice and he tried to fix it but didn't fix it twice. The aircon was cooling just in the night. During the day it was super super hot. The wifi connection was super bad, disconnects all the time. They didnt switch the towels for all the 4 nights, not body towels not hand towel, ...In this price range you can find a lot better on the island, a place that at least provides hot water, a working aircon and wifi and some drinking water...

We will remember our stay at this place very fondly. The owner is an older gentleman who was always very kind, helpful, and genuinely interested in making sure we were comfortable. The rest of the staff were also very friendly and attentive, always checking if we needed anything. As for the bungalow itself, it was very clean and well equipped. It was cleaned every day, stocked with water, and incense was lit to keep mosquitoes away. The hotel pool was also cleaned daily and very well maintained. My wife and I spent 5 days here, and we are truly very happy that we chose this place.

Lovely property run by a super lovely family 🥰 garden is amazing and everything is so well taken care of. Room is well maintained everyday, very high quality of linen goods and towels that you usually get in five star hotels. New scooter for rental as well at a great price. Great location, close to lots of good food and sunset and beaches. We stayed for a week and it felt like time just flew by. Thank you for having us 💙 Terima kasih. 🙏
