Sonesta Nouba Hotel Aswan

The hotel is right at the riverbank and uniquely styled in A Nubian désigne and tastefully designed balancing between antique, ancient and modern. There is a very beautiful view of the sunset in the evenings. The bed is one of the softest I have slept in and the pillows are very fluffy. Food was good and had a Christmasy theme.

The Sonesta Nouba was by far our favorite place in Egypt and our only regret is that we didn't stay a few more days. There's an incredibly peaceful vibe and I found myself relaxing in an unexpectedly deep way. The facility has obviously been created with great thoughtfulness and care and it shows - from the gorgeous Nubian design details to the intentional layout that invites gentle evening strolling along the Nile. The management of the facility is excellent - services and communication flow gracefully and seamlessly, rooms and common areas are spotless and lovingly maintained, staff are accommodating and knowledgeable. Thank you to the other reviewer who recommended asking to order Egyptian food outside of the menu. We took that advice and our wonderful server Ana hooked us up with the best sea bass tagine of our entire trip. The following night, she got the kitchen to prepare a sumptuous meal of traditional dishes that was nothing short of incredible. The kitchen staff were very accommodating for a gluten allergy and the breakfast box they gave me to bring along on our day trip to Abu Simbel was enough for breakfast AND lunch. I can't say enough good things about the staff... everyone was so friendly and genuinely kind. We didn't expect that we would plan a return trip to Aswan, but we truly fell in love with the magic of the area and with Sonesta Nouba and next time, I'll know to plan to stay at least 4-5 days. I really hope Ana is still there when we return. We'd love to see her again! My one suggestion would be an option for a female masseuse as some women may have a personal, cultural, or religious preference for same gender.

We loved Nubian style architecture. It was very unique and colorful. It located right by the Nile, so we enjoyed the quiet morning atmosphere of the river. The hotel staff were very friendly, they even packed nice breakfast for us to the early morning trip. Hopefully we can go back one day.

This beautiful hotel, decorated in a colourful and tasteful Nubian style, is a jewel right on the Nile. Attention to detail - clean, comfortable beds, gorgeous bathroom, beautiful private patios overlooking the river, and locally made art - is evident everywhere. The attentive, gracious staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and pampered. The delicious food is designed for everyone’s taste and can be enjoyed indoors or outside next to the Nile. A lovely infinity pool and hot tub are available for your relaxation and pleasure. Everything about this hotel is more than a five star experience.

Peaceful, comfortable rooms with a beautiful view and nice aesthetic. The staff brought us fresh fruit upon check in. Everyone was very polite and kind. We were really happy with everything. We slept so well in that comfy bed.

It’s a little far from town but that’s also a good thing because it is so peaceful. We had no trouble getting transportation.

Waking up and seeing the Nile at close quarters was amazing. Situated a little out of town it was lovely and tranquil.

The staff are very kind. When I got fever, they help me to go to hospital and translate on site.

The whole place is very clean Room is new and was very clean and spacious, I had the chance to get Sandwiches for late room service and it was great also breakfast was excellent They put a fruit basket in my room with some kind of cookies and it was great welcome sign upon my arrival The staff is really exceptional team who work just to make you happy

Due to my short visit I did not try the swimming pool or jacozy although their location was outdoor overlooking River Nile
