Kato Waidi Nubian House

The hotel was exactly what I wanted. Our room was comfortable and interesting, the people were lovely and helpful. The food was tasty and the view spectacular. Some of our taxi and tuktuk drivers needed help finding the correct hotel, but we were not in such a rush that it was a problem.

If you want to see another side of Egypt on your trip, spend some time in the Nubian area near Aswan to experience a different culture. The Kato Waidi Nubian guest house is rustic, colorful, and full of friendly staff and great food.

Die Unterkunft liegt in einem Nubischen Dorf direkt am Nil. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und ordentlich und alle unsere Wünsche wurden erfüllt. Die Dusche ist direkt im Bad integriert, heißt man duscht sich quasi über der Toilette, keine Kritik nur man sollte darauf vorbereitet sein. Das Hotel Personal ist sehr sehr freundlich und höflich. Das Essen im Hotel war unser Highlight, es gibt eine Vielzahl an Gerichten, die uns alle super geschmeckt haben.

By the Nile and colorful room and building

Our stay in Kato Waidi was wonderful, the hotel is located in a spectacular scenery. Ahmed from reception and administration staff was incredibly kind and helpful attending our needs. We could arrange day trips , boat and car rides from the hotel and food was great.

Low 아스완이 가까이 있고 경치도 아름답고, 무엇보다도 누비안 마을 이기 떄문에 누비안 에 대해 경험할 수 있어 좋습니다. 동화 속 집처럼 이쁜 숙소 입니다. 아침 일찍 아부심벨로 떠나야 했는데 도시락으로 빵과 음료수 요커트를 준비해주어 더욱 감동이었습니다.

C’est étonnant et reposant. Par contre l’arrivée en taxi peu surprendre car on se croirait dans l’Afrique profonde, c’est un chemin, c’est sale et plutôt en ruine. Je recommande d’arriver plutôt en bateau si peu de bagages. Le personnel est accueillant et on y mange très bien pour un prix très raisonnable. Je recommande.

This property is truly a gem. It is far from the airport but very much worth the experience. The staff and the Nubian hospitality was wonderful.

I stayed there for 6 nights with my dog. We liked the service in everyway, evereyone always took care of us. The employees are very relaxed and helpful. They also help to make tour accommodations and whatever you need really. The only thing I would change is the loud knocking doors for tours in the am, they woke me up 3 nights and was tired all day from it.
