There are B&Bs that pride themselves on truly understanding their honest efforts to provide "raving fans" service to their guests and then, there are innkeepers who think this is a quick way to make money. This 1920s property was a grand residence, but the owners bought it and completed a cheap DIY remodel without proper sound proofing, and doors that don't fit, among other things.They then purchased Walmart-style furniture and mattresses. Finally, the cheap mattresses have a bottom sheet and a bedspread -- no top sheet (which they explained is because the guests complained about having clean sheets between them and the mattress/bedspread (?). When we arrived, there was no greeting and we were assigned to a room with a bathroom down the hall. At the time of the booking, there was no indication that we did not have an en-suite bath, so we had to run, half naked, down the hall to find a bath with a door that did not fit for privacy. As other guests arrived, we became aware that there was virtually no sound insulation in the place and we could hear every conversation and movement from the other rooms. We made several suggestions that were argued against, so we won't be back and we would recommend that before you stay here, you check it out for yourself. By the way, they don't provide details about the place until the morning of your arrival, so you can't cancel! We wish the owners the best of luck and hope they quickly learn the ins and outs of the hospitality business.

The owners were so helpful and nice to us during our stay! The instructions were clear and the room was very homely. The breakfast was really tasty also, with local ingredients. Although it was a little different from a hotel, it felt a lot more welcoming than a typical stay. We really enjoyed our time here.

Stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed the accommodations comfy bed/cozy room (Central Perk Room). Came into town to visit a college with my daughter. The house was very nice and the hosts were so friendly and with lots of knowledge of the surrounding towns and things to do.. The Breakfast was delicious (fresh berry's and wow the French Toast). We will Definitely be back!

Clean, quiet, friendly and very responsive staff

I stayed 4 nights here and had a very pleasant and comfortable experience. The two hosts, Andy & Debi, were very accommodating and communicative. The room I stayed in (Central Perks) was perfect for me as a single traveler. The breakfast options I tried were delicious and helped me start my day off the right way. I only have good things to say about this B&B

This place is just absolutely adorable and the owners are so sweet, very clean. Very quiet breakfast was outstanding all fresh fruit, homemade bread, fresh farm eggs. She really goes out to make her guests feel welcomed. I would recommend staying there at any time and me and my husband will be going back.

I apologize and did not realize that our full review did not go through. We have had internet trouble through most of our trip especially in Canada. I will try to remember what we wrote... Our stay 3 night stay here was fantastic! We were a little nervous at first with it being a new B and B but that soon disappeared once we arrived. It was a very easy check-in and us doing a road trip we were happy that we did not have to stress about being there at a certain time or having someone wait up for us. The room was so clean and cozy and the area was nice and quiet. We were in town for a wedding in Freeport, night out in Portland and a friend in Ogunquit and found this location convenient and easy access to highway 95. It was also nice to not have to worry about breakfast to start our days. Everything from something big to something light. Our host Andy and Debi were amazing! We had great and interesting breakfast conversations and I highly recommend them!

We only stayed one night to catch a flight the next morning. We arrived late and left early so we didnt experience much of the house. What we did see we loved. The house is beautiful and the host was very kind and helpful! I left a flannel I had just bought and she was so sweet to mail it to me. We were contacted the day before our stay to give us all the check-in info. Parking was great, getting into the house and room was easy and secure! A great place to stay!
