Azal Lagoons Resort Abu Simbel

The hotel is conveniently located just a 10-minute drive from the Abu Simbel Temple, making it a perfect spot to relax away from the crowds. It offers stunning views of Lake Nasser, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The surrounding area is peaceful, with plenty of space to walk and unwind. The staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming, making our stay feel warm and personal. Overall, a wonderful place to rest and enjoy the beauty of Abu Simbel.

Everything was exceptional!

A big complex with large suites. Staff are friendly and helpful. The water pressure is excellent so you’ll get a good shower.

The suite living room wasn’t particularly comfortable or inviting. The kitchenette lacked pots or utensils, making it rather purposeless. In general the decor and furniture was a little tired.

Room was amazing, very clean and spacious. Well equipped and excellent facilities. Great view of the Nile with balcony view including the pool. Overall amazing. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful all the time. Peter the Reception manager gave us great advice on arrival and made us feel very welcome. Had great experience at Abu Simbel as a result of his advice to see sunrise first (by boat) and adjust timings to miss the crowds - resulted in far superior and enjoyable experience. Felt really valued. Dinner and breakfast food was amazing, great choice. Service surpassed expectations and show cased high end hotel. Pool great. Complex not over crowded.

Nothing. Only observation was could not easily read the room numbers, however these were being replaced.

Large well appointed rooms. Extensive gardens overlooking the lake. Very helpful staff. Quiet location, yet only 5 minutes drive from town (which is busy and noisy) and 10 minutes from the temple

The resort is very modern and new and we were upgraded from our original villa room to a villa suite with five bedrooms. It was absolutely fabulous with our own private pool and view across the lake. The staff was attentive and very helpful and friendly and would definitely stay here again.

The food was delicious, offering a great variety that pleased both adults and kids alike. Every meal was a delight, and we appreciated the quality and care put into the dining experience. And the swimming pool—what a highlight! It was simply fantastic, perfect for relaxing and having fun with the family. Whether lounging poolside or taking a refreshing dip, it was one of the best parts of our stay. We left with wonderful memories and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable family vacation. We’ll definitely be back!
