The place was renovated lately in a beautiful area of Tuscany. We were lucky to be the only guest and we could enjoy a lot of privacy with a beautiful view on the property. The swimming pool area is beautiful and an ideal place to relax after a long day exploring Tuscany. The design of the house and every detail are though to perfection.

The only thing we were missing was a small fridge in the room.

We left with mixed feelings about the place. The pros - room was large; bed was even bigger and very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and with a great shower. We had a little garden, which was very nice too. Air-co was much appreciated due to the very high heat at the time of our stay. The pool area is super with very clean water and very nice green area around. The hammock was a very nice addition =)

It was super overpriced for what it offers, compared to other agriturismo-like places we stayed at. I found the rule of not taking even a glass of water to the pool a little extreme, especially given the hot weather. I also really didn't enjoy the dinner set-up. It starts at a given time, which is ok, but there is no menu communicated in advance and no alternatives in case any given meal is not to one's liking. It is nice to serve local, fresh food but still, given the price of the whole stay, providing options to guests should be a given. At the least, menu could be communicated in advance, so that people can make an informed choice if they would not rather eat elsewhere. Overall, it felt a little like a very expensive school camp in same aspects.

It‘s a very lovely place, the host was extremly friendly and helpful. The Locanda is full of super beautiful details and the food was delicious - we loved it!

We had a wonderful experience. The property is absolutely beautiful, with spacious rooms that have high ceilings and a tasteful finish. The antique furnishings and attention to detail really added to the charm. The staff and owner were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. The standout feature was the exceptional kitchen, where they served delicious dishes made with locally sourced products. Overall, it was a delightful stay and I highly recommend this place.

Such a beautiful and relaxing setting, perfect for a getaway with family / friends! Super caring hosts, great food, lovely accomodation. Can't really think of anything negative... except that we live too far from Locanda Fontelupa to come back more regularly!
