We had high hopes for this stay since we really enjoyed our stay 2 years ago at Gran Jimenoa. The best part of this experience was the staff in the restaurant/by the pool, they were all wonderful. I believe this hotel could be great in a few years with some work done but I wouldn’t opt to stay here again. The rooms are standard, nothing special & on the smaller side which is fine but the beds are very hard and so uncomfortable. The rooms are surface clean at best. The shower design is odd and the water goes all over the entire bathroom floor and since there are no fans the bathroom just stays eternally wet and humid. The shower water also gets randomly scolding hot every few minutes. The door to the balcony did not lock and there is no handle on the outside door which was strange. The floor of the pool seems to be disintegrating away being cracked in many places, the pool is also not very clean at any given time of day. The surrounding grounds seem to be being worked on daily but have a long ways to go as they are just vast and empty. We were considering this as a potential wedding venue however the hotel sits on a main road and the constant outside noise is so loud 24 hours a day and all I couldn’t imagine trying to have a ceremony there with all of that noise going on. They are planting trees around the perimeter which I’m sure will help some when they are fully grown but I can’t imagine will resolve the issue completely.
